Paige & Danny, 14″ x 14″ pastel, SOLD
I thought it was high time I come back to my blog and post some of my more current paintings. This painting was special because my favorite Uncle Jim commissioned it. Paige is a friend of Jim’s granddaughter and has a special relationship with her horse Danny. In fact, one day not so long ago, Danny became sick with colic, a dangerous problem for horses. It didn’t look like he was going to make it through the night. Paige spent that entire night with Danny, never giving up on him. Well, Danny didn’t disappoint her. The next day he showed signed of improvement and went on to a full recovery. I was honored to be asked to create this painting in celebration of Danny’s recovery.
